When dataslayer mobile first starts up, you’ll see the active IP, port, and network adapter at the bottom of the window (highlighted in red below):

dataslayer mobile needs to run on the same network as the mobile device you’re debugging. In most cases, this will be your Wi-Fi connection. dataslayer mobile tries to automatically detect and use your Wi-Fi connection, but if the default connection isn’t correct, you’ll need to:

  1. go into the settings (click the button on the right side of the window)

  2. manually select the correct interface:

  1. and restart dataslayer mobile.

Please note additionally that corporate Wi-Fi networks often place restrictions on devices connecting to each other within the network, which is crucial to the functionality of dataslayer mobile. If you run into issues, please try on your home network, where you’ll have more control.
